On the 23rd of March, the 2021-2022 Additive Manufacturing Contest was held at at KU Leuven.
A total of 2 teams participated with 4 competitive 3d printed bridge designs. The teams made their designs which were subsequently printed by Ultimaker and brought with them on the test day. The test day started with a presentation by Ultimaker followed by a presentation of each team about the design of their bridges. After a nice lunch it was time to test the bridges. Some failed earlier than expected, but some where actually stronger! In the end the jury decided that the bridge by Paolo Minigher performed the best according to the performance parameters of the competition!
He takes home € 400 prize money, congratulations!
